they make me feel like a scared kid screaming to be set free.

they tell me that I am capable of facing everything that life throws my way.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

they mock my twig of a body.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

they give me all the strength that I will ever need.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

they keep giving me glimpses of all the things that I had buried in the farthest corner of my mind.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

they keep cheering for me with their not so quiet voices.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

They tell me that I look awful with all the scars on my legs and marks on my back.

I cannot be left alone with my thoughts,

they often remind me that I am a goddess and nothing less.
